We are proud of our school and work hard to focus on the needs of children in early education to give them all a successful start. We believe that a child’s learning environment matters and we aim to make our school an attractive, safe and happy place to be. The friendly atmosphere at Lorraine is an essential part of our school ethos, as we want our children to enjoy their time with us.
We aim to provide opportunities for children to acquire knowledge, skills, understanding and an awareness of spiritual and moral values and a positive attitude to learning. Our curriculum should prepare pupils for the opportunities, responsibilities and experience for their future education and life long learning. Our activities promote good learning attitudes, good behaviour and positive relationships. The curriculum is regularly reviewed by teaching staff to ensure continuity and progression and reflect current thinking. All the children are educated and developed to their full potential through the experiences and challenges available to them. All staff are also encouraged to fully develop themselves professionally. Everyone works together to ensure that the school community has a real sense of involvement, sharing in the individuals successes and achievements. We know children flourish when there is an active partnership with parents and governors and we actively encourage good relationships with all. We endeavour to provide a school day that excites, challenges and motivates each child. |
